This is the entrance to the courtyard. The abbey church, dedicated to Saint George, which was built by the Asam Brothers between 1716 and 1739. The chapel underwent extensive restoration from 2003-2005. This photo cannot give a real feeling for the beauty displayed inside this church. It was simply breathtaking.
About Robert Culver
My interest in photography began when I was twelve years old. My father gave me a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye to use on my school trip to Washington DC. It wasn't until I was in the Navy when I was stationed in West Pac Vietnam Campaign that I developed a serious interest in photography. My initial interest became a passion for photography. I realized that I wanted to expand my interest in photography by attending Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. I majored in Commercial Photography. Santa Barbara in the 1970s was a fantastic opportunity for a budding photographer with its beaches, mountains, and gorgeous weather.
