Artist's Description

The abbey church, dedicated to Saint George, which was built by the Asam Brothers between 1716 and 1739. The chapel underwent extensive restoration from 2003-2005. This photo cannot give a real feeling for the beauty displayed inside this church. It was simply breathtaking.

My interest in photography began when I was twelve years old. My father gave me a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye to use on my school trip to Washington DC. It wasn't until I was in the Navy when I was stationed in West Pac Vietnam Campaign that I developed a serious interest in photography. My initial interest became a passion for photography. I realized that I wanted to expand my interest in photography by attending Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. I majored in Commercial Photography. Santa Barbara in the 1970s was a fantastic opportunity for a budding photographer with its beaches, mountains, and gorgeous weather.
